Hey everyone, for those who couldn't fill out our feedback forms, how about we discussed it here on the forums?

Speaking from a non-staff view, ran smoothly but there needs to be more informative staffs and signs. Artist Dealer: I love the concept that it's in the hallway but it was too spread out and some artist didn't get noticed. Merchant Room: It was rather a small con so the merchant room was nothing to worry about. Rave Party: The room was a bit small but for the most part it worked out. Registration: a bit slow and confusing but nice staffs. Consuite: Small room. Rice's not legit sadly :( Traffic Slow: decent. Photoshoots: I wish it was handle more professional. Gaming Room: A fan would be great. Enjoyed the freebie NOS drinks to some extent. Hotel: Nice and small hotel. Program Book: informative but very confusing. Needs to have a better map! Congoers: NICE con-goers. Can chat with mostly anyone. Overall: 6/10 :3

I pretty much agree with all that. It was done really well, but some things could've been done a bit better, and you touched base on all of them already. Though I never had any rice or ramen so I wouldn't know what to make of that. I'd call it 7/10

I was happy. I got to go to this con with my friend Shawn who's writing a little something then for Anime-Source. We honestly could not find any faults with this con. It was the first year, so it was expected that the turn out would be minimal and panels/events would be your normal heavy hitter things, and we still had a blast. BTW That gaming room, was the best i've seen. Was just at Ohayocon and the gaming room was no where near that good. So grats to that! People were awesome, as with any con, and I can't wait to see this thing next year. Kudos to the animemini staff <3

I agree with all that has been said. One thing that I did not like however was the organization with the Cosplay Masquerade. Nothing was settled till 6pm when the event was supposed to start. I was not surprised by this because it was their first year. I was frustrated but I was more frustrated with the comments I kept hearing from one of the contestants. She kept saying how anime detour is more organized and that she should be running this (blah blah blah) so i had to finally stand up and say that this is AniMinneapolis's first year so we should give them a break. a staff member finally appeared that seemed to know what she was doing so I give her major kudos for finally getting things in order. I was happy that the con suite got bagels the last day :) made me very happy. otherwise I liked this con. The room parties were legit and the hotel was very nice. I was more or less annoyed with a few congoers than the actual staff.

I was one of the two No Brand Con staffers who came to promote our convention at AniMinneapolis. I did want to thank you guys for letting us come in and promote our convention. I didn't really get much of a chance to see a lot of the con since I was behind our table most of the time, but other than a few programming hiccups, things seem to have run relatively smoothly this weekend. I do have one suggestion though that I posted similarly in a thread on the Anime Detour forums. Please consider dropping the corporate sponsorship of your video game room. I'm sure a lot of the attendees enjoyed the free energy drink that was being given away, but for me personally at least, I wouldn't have wanted to spend more than five minutes in that room had I gone to this convention more as an attendee. When you can't walk more than a few feet into a room without feeling like you're walking into an energy drink commercial being constantly bombarded with advertising, it's not a place I would have spent a lot of time in during the convention. Most attendees I saw go into that room got their energy drink and walked back out. Most of them didn't stick around to game. The room could have easily lived without the grating techno/hip-hop music playing not to mention the small-print disclaimers that were put outside the doors and in the room that basically stated by walking into the room, the energy drink people could use your image in photos or video for promotional purposes without your permission.

Had to break this into two parts. As for the room itself, the layout seemed rather inefficient with a lot of open and wasted space? Was the giant tent really necessary indoors? Cords were laid across the floor to power the island in the middle and weren't taped down or covered up which created a tripping hazard. The game selection mainly seemed to be fighting games on multiple PS3 and 360 systems and the rhythm arcade games. I also saw one just one Wii, a PS2, and a DDR setup. A few more popular classic consoles definitely couldn't have hurt. I'd also consider separating your table gaming from your video game room. It would allow for more consoles to be setup and allow the table gaming to be enjoyed with less background noise and distraction. I apologize if it seems like I'm nitpicking one aspect of the convention when a lot of it seemed to go well, but to me at least, it just seemed like more time and planning for the convention could have gone into planning that particular part of the convention. A video game room at a con can be one of the more difficult and challenging things to plan, setup, maintain, and strike down. You really have to have a dedicated group of people who pretty much spend the entire weekend in that room making sure it runs smoothly. Not so much a company whose sole is to promote and sell you their product with gaming more or less being an after thought. I've seen pictures of the game room you guys had at Anime Zing, and I would have much prefered that with the added arcade machines versus what was put on at this years convention.

As an individual that has gone to Detour for 6 years in a row, I thought this con was quite a bit of fresh air. It wasn't too crowded and had a decent amount of people. I really liked the feeling of a smaller convention. The guests of honor: The voice Actors, nerdcore, and such, were pretty amazing and sure made for some rather great events. Everything ran pretty smooth, especially for being a new convention. Though there were a few hiccups. Programming, and such was a little faulty, but I was quite pleased. Also, I think the hotel was very nice, but I am not quite sure if it was meant to be a convention material. The elevator congestion and such was solved when the stair case was opened up, but over all it felt rather crowded with the small amount of people there. Despite, any flaws, the staff was amazing and I had a fantastic time! Thank you all! :)

It was a great con! I loved it, and it was amazing, even more so for it s first year... However, there was one problem. My bro's panel was right after Greg Ayres of Sunday, and after his ended he hung around for autographs and such. After 15 minutes my Bro talked to a staffer about his panel, and eventually he got on. There was only two people left, who told us that staff had said the panel was cancelled cuz we weren't there. They hadn't done anything to see if we were there. We had been, for the whole panel before ours. Also, there was a bit of a problem with some panels running late, which made it harder for people who had to set things up for their panels. I ran the KH panel, and the one before mine ran a little late and I needed to get some stuff ready. Still, over all it was great.<3 And I look forward to next year!<3<3<3
