Hobo Con, aka the National Hobo Convention, is an annual convention held during the second weekend in August in the town of Britt, Iowa, by the Tourist Union No. 63 (the national union of hoboes), and the Britt Hobo Days Association. This convention promotes and preserves the history of hobo culture, serves as a gathering place for hoboes, and hosts the annual election of Hobo royalty. Meet various Hobo Con staff members, former Hobo royalty, hoboes, and/or longtime Hobo Con attendees as they talk about the annual celebration known as Hobo Con and related hobo culture.
