AMV Contest?

The more entries we get the better the contest will be so if you have the time I would suggest making one. There is a free video editor I have used in the past called Videopad which is easy to use and had some okay effects in it. http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html Check out this site to download for free.

Quick question that may sound stupid. . . But would it count if I made a MMD ( Miku Miku Dance ) animation with music that goes and relates to the animation.... would it count as an AMV at all? I would use known anime characters like Black*Rock Shooter, Miku Hatsune, ect. Is this acceptable or no? If not it's okay :)

I wasn't sure what MMD was till I looked it up on Wiki just now and still may not be a 100% sure what it is exactly, but an AMV is an Animated Music Video (stating the obvious) so I would say as long as it has characters people may know I would say submit it and if it it looks like something that would work in the contest I will throw it in to be judged.

Since it is getting to be only a month away till the con and submissions are the most important part i need to start with, here is a quick over view on how to submit. All other details as far as rules and judging should be up by the end of the week. All entries must be postmarked or submitted via email no later then Friday, June 24th, 2011. When submitting a video, please remember to include the following information: - Your Name - Email Address - The Video’s Title - Title of the Anime(s) used - Artist(s) and Title of the song(s) or Audio Clip(s) used You may enter videos by email or by uploading on YouTube as a private video and e-mailing the link and allowing the following username (TrafalgarLuffy) to have viewing access. An e-mailed version or hard copy is required to have your AMV shown and submitted for the Fan Favorite contest at the convention. DO NOT burn your disk as a DVD! Only burn the file itself as a media format onto a disc. Emailed videos must be uploaded to either Sendspace or Megaupload and then the page link emailed to the AMV Head email below with the above details included.
