On Sunday, July 10th, the last day of the convention, the Art Deparment plans to host an impromptu drawing contest known as the Spontaneous Ink Competition!
If you're interested, we plan on having the event posted around the con as well as in the program booklet-- we will provide basic supplies like pencils, paper, and pens. Full details and rules will be found at the convention!
Prizes are TBA-- but its all in good fun either way!
I'm hosting a Teach Yourself Japanese panel this year! I'm really excited! This is my first time going to Animinneapolis, not my first time hosting a panel, but first for this topic!
I hope I can give lots of tips and pointers for those of you interested in teaching yourself Japanese, or those who are in the midst of teaching yourself but feel stuck.
I'll be doing a table at the Artist Alley (Tamago no Heya, come check my stuff out! ^^) as well and you can stop by and chat with me a bit over the weekend as well!

Hey I know this might be kind of weird but please bare with me. I really wanted to get a table here this year and sell some buttons in order to pay for a flight down to Baltimore to meet some good friends during Otakon in July, but I got paid too late and all the slots were filled up! So~ I was just wondering if there was any kind soul willing to share their table with me. I'd be willing to pay for half of how much a table costs (If you paid the $75 for a ticket and table, I would give you $37.50) and I would probably only use a little corner of it, because 2" buttons don't take up too much room if they're squished together, you know?
So yeah, I just thought I would ask in the forum, even though it seems like not a lot of people go here and chat.

xD Yea that's what I was thinking too. See what I pitched was doing to 18+ rooms like at Detour, but I was concerned about the whole age group. Although it is looking like it might be within that 18 - 24 range. Guess we'll have to see huh? ^.^;
That's usually not decided until a month and a half prior to the convention - when DVDs and stuff arrive in the mail and we get all our permissions, XD
